Cameron, owner of The Piedmont Guy importer, will be here to do a wonderful Piedmont Italy tasting! Check out the lineup below. We will be tasting three Barbarescos! (the more feminine side of Nebbiolo!) I recently tasted all of these at a trade event and loved them so much I asked Carly to bring Cameron to the shop to share with you all!

The event of the spring! Sauer Grapes High-end California Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting, downtown Charleston at Trident Tech’s Palmer Campus Amphitheatre. Reserve your spot today!
This is a sit down lecture and tasting that will explain the differences in Cabernets from different appellations in California while you taste wines from the different regions. Three wine reps will make presentations of four of their wines. Here are the wines we’ll be tasting:

This will be a classroom setting. The room holds 110 people. Its a wonderful set up for presentations! Light bread and cheese will be served along to help cleanse your palates!
There will be a shuttle bus that leaves from Sauer Grapes at 2:30 Be sure to let me know if you you’d like to ride the shuttle!
These wines range in price from $60 to $225.

Our Tasting Room is now available for booking. This intimate, inviting space is perfect for special events like dinner parties and private wine tastings. I can provide heavy hors d’oeuvres or bring in a chef for dinner.

Wine by the glass
At Sauer Grapes Wine Shop, you can enjoy a glass of wine with selections that are constantly updated. The more expensive glasses are always still really great deals! You can also pick any bottle off the shelf to open. If you don’t finish it, State law says you can take it home. There is a $6 corkage but I beat everyones’ prices so you can’t drink cheaper anywhere!.
Have a bite
From the classic cheese plate to delicious local foods, you’ll find delightful tapas/gourmet food items that go perfectly with our wines by the glass. You can take some home, too!

Need help with wine pairings for your dinner party? I’d love to help! Just bring in your menu, tell me your target price, and I’ll gladly come up with suggestions. I’m also happy to do this for appetizer pairings and special events. I can also switch this around and offer food suggestions to go with your favorite wine!
